Chicken and Cassava Waffles ($15.49)
Fried chicken and waffles aren’t as well known as peanut butter and jelly, but they’re pretty close. To those unfamiliar with this combo though, it seems weird. Why are we combining a savoury fried lunch and dinner entrée with a sweet breakfast treat? Apart from its deliciousness, fried chicken and waffles brings a unique combination of sweet and savoury to your palette.
We’ve decided to bring cassava into our recipe for an extra dose of flavour. Cassava has a nutty taste, which brings an extra dose of deliciousness to this classic sweet-and-savoury combo. But what’s cassava? Cassava is a root vegetable from South America that’s packed with nutrients and features a unique taste.
Banoffee Pie Stuffed French Toast ($13.99)
Bananas and toffee is a caramel combination of goodness like no other. That’s why we combined these flavours into an unforgettable French toast. Reminiscent of another U.S. southern dish, bananas foster, the salty notes of the toffee sauce and the sweetness of the bananas play nicely together. Add in some tangy fruits and more sweetness in a whipped cream topping, and you have an unforgettable delight!White Bean Hummus Toast ($14.59)
Avocado toast can eat its heart out. Introducing hummus toast, a creamy delight that’s sure to please. White bean hummus, as you can guess, uses white beans as the main ingredient instead of chickpeas. White beans pack more protein and have a softer, lighter flavour than their chickpea counterparts. To add more delight for your tastebuds, we’re also including roasted potatoes and cauliflower and a unique artisan seed bread as toast.
Bacon, Sausage, and Mushroom Hash ($15.49)
Here’s a protein-filled, savoury delight for umami lovers. If you have more of a salt tooth, and a hankering for hash, this is the brunch for you. This hash incorporates umami and nutrient rich mushrooms with breakfast meat staples: Meinhardt’s own bacon and sausage. And with an herb potato has as a base and a secret hash sauce exclusive to Meinhardt, what’s not to love?
And of course, you can try all four brunch options on Saturdays and Sundays. Stop by on weekends in Pacific Centre from 9 AM to 2 PM and dive into our delicious eats soon! We can’t wait to serve you!
